Ministry Across the Nations

The past month has been amazing and full at Developing Workers, launching an active summer ministry season.

Read on to hear how Matt Swartz and the Foundations team have already been present in multiple nations with more to come.

Foundations Growing in Mexico

Pastor Juan Marcos invited our Foundations trainers to launch an exploratory training in Northern Mexico at the end of May. We trained leaders in Tijuana, Ciudad Juarez, and Gomez Palacio. Over the six days, 104 leaders were trained through our workshops on how to multiply disciple making! What was especially exciting was the distance many leaders were willing to drive to be a part of the workshops. We believe God is opening a door for future training opportunities throughout the North of Mexico.

One special story was the opportunity to invest into the life of the son of our translator in Gomez Palacio. Samuel has walked a difficult journey and was completely engaged in conversations about how we find healing through Jesus for our trauma. Our team will continue to connect through WhatsApp and we thank God for divine appointments like this with young leaders like Sam along the way.

A Look at Africa and Beyond

After Mexico, our Foundations team joined forces to head to Zambia with a ministry team from Rock Point Church in Arizona. This group of 13 was serving alongside Christ Life Church in Lusaka, Zambia.

Throughout the week we poured into the lives of Christ Life staff and those whom this incredible ministry serves in disadvantaged communities. The highlight of the time in Zambia was continuing the Foundations training that began in March in Zambia. We were able to train 80 leaders through Workshop 2 on how to care for your soul spiritually. Praise the Lord!

Our ministry partner Pastor Mulenga Chella is doing an amazing job of raising up leaders for the various arms of ministry Christ Life is involved in. The opportunity to pour into those leaders was such an exciting opportunity.

From Zambia, our team headed off to Kenya to connect with Pastor JoJo of Nyeri Elevation Chapel for six days of ministry assessment and coaching. We were especially excited to lead 35 of his leaders in a Sunday afternoon training on Evangelism, walking leaders through a strategy where discipleship is a part of how we live in our communities. Through facilitated discussions and training in key principles in sharing our faith, we saw this room of young leaders engage with excitement!

Foundations then spent time in Madrid to relaunch our Foundations Training with Workshop 3 on How to Study the Bible. 50 leaders were trained – God is so good!  The future looks amazing in Madrid!

Developing Workers exists to equip leaders locally and globally for the work of discipleship.  We develop workers to mobilize ministry.

There are roughly 3 million pastors globally, and 90 percent of them have never received formal training nor resources to help lead their churches.  Foundations is the arm of Developing Workers that is committed to training and equipping global pastors leaders, helping them become prevailing forces for change and discipleship in their communities.

This work is both fueled and funded by friends of our ministry.

Thanks to our community of partners like you, all financial contributions quickly transform into pastoral training, service opportunities, coaching and mentorship, special projects in underserved communities, and impactful resources that all bring us one step closer to ending discipleship poverty.

We’re so grateful for you!
