In our last newsletter, we shared how partnering with global churches is at the heart of our mission. This summer, Matt and Onalee Swartz have taken that partnership to new heights. “Team Swartz” has traveled across the world to support and equip church leaders, and they have plans to continue that travel in the next few months. Matt is especially grateful for Onalee’s efforts to connect with pastors’ wives and women in leadership, strengthening the bonds that make these partnerships flourish.
WHERE HAVE THEY BEEN?
Mexico: In just a short span, Matt and Onalee trained 123 leaders across three cities—Los Cabos, Villahermosa, and Coatzacoalcos. The Foundations training across different states equipped leaders with tools to multiply their impact.
Zambia: Over 12 days at Christ Life Church, Matt and Onalee spent quality time with the staff and leaders. The essence of ministry lies in its people, and they embraced the opportunity to hear their stories and encourage them in their disciple-making efforts. True discipleship happens most powerfully when it’s life on life.
Poland: They invested in ministry leaders through coaching and encouragement. They are also discussing the translation of the Foundations materials into Polish, with the potential for future training sessions there.
As Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (NIV) reminds us:
“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.”
This verse beautifully captures the essence of Matt and Onalee’s ministry—working hand in hand, supporting one another, and lifting up those around them.
WHAT’S NEXT FOR TEAM SWARTZ?
Onward to their next adventure: 8 countries in 7 weeks!
HOW CAN YOU PRAY?
Please join us in praying that doors continue to open for Matt and Onalee as they co-labor in this ministry to end discipleship poverty. Specifically, pray for God’s guidance as they look for new tools to make implementation easier and to serve pastors and leaders more effectively.
A big thank you to each and every one of you for your continued support!
