In 2021, Matt Swartz, our Director of Foundations, traveled to Mexico to lead discipleship workshops for pastors and church leaders. Among the attendees was one pastor who had a transformative encounter with God’s vision for his ministry. Fully engaged in the sessions, he embraced what he learned, trusting that God would guide him in applying these insights in his church.
Upon returning home, he put his newfound understanding into action, and God’s hand was evident as his church began to thrive and grow.
A couple weeks ago, Matt was back in Mexico, training over 169 church leaders alongside that same pastor. The growth and transformation that God brought through this pastor’s obedience caught the attention of other church leaders, who were eager to learn more. The pastor, excited to share the work God was doing, invited them to experience the training for themselves.
This movement is a testament to God’s faithfulness, sparking a wave of discipleship that is spreading not only in Mexico but beyond. Matt shares, “We are blessed to partner with the Presbyterian Church of Mexico and are looking forward to a great future together!”
