Elijah and Kennedi Hernandez both have Bachelor’s of Arts in Christian Studies from Grand Canyon University, with Elijah emphasizing Biblical Studies and Kennedi focusing on Global Ministry. Elijah served for 6 and a half years in various ministry roles at Valley View Bible Church, including as an intern, in youth ministry, and as the College and Outreach Pastor. Kennedi was the Outreach Director at Open Door Fellowship for a year before joining Elijah at Valley View in November 2022 after their marriage. There, she led the young adults and women’s ministries and worked alongside Elijah to lead mission trips to Slovakia and Zambia.

Since 2022, Elijah and Kennedi have been serving together in ministry, developing a shared heart for discipleship. In 2025, God led them to join Developing Workers as a couple, continuing their work of discipleship and helping bridge the gap between the local and global Church to end discipleship poverty. They focus on discipling one person at a time, with the goal of making disciples who make disciples.

In their free time, Elijah and Kennedi enjoy cooking, playing board games, snowboarding, traveling, and pouring into others.
