You’ve probably heard it before…if you want to grow in your relationship with the Lord, be in His word on a regular basis. It’s one of the primary areas we cover when we are mentoring ministry leaders as they learn how to disciple others.
How about you? How is your time in the Word? Are you intentional about reading the Bible regularly? Do you have a specific reading plan that you follow?
If you already have a regular, consistent time with the Lord each day, you are blessed! Psalm 1 says:
“That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
Psalm 1
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither”
If you struggle with having a regular time in the Word, don’t give up! A valuable tool we recommend is the YouVersion Bible app. It offers a variety of Bible study reading plans and the option to listen to Scripture, making it easier to engage with God’s Word regularly. By spending time each day in the Bible, you can grow stronger in your faith. Regularly immersing yourself in Scripture is essential for spiritual growth and helps you become a “self-feeder” instead of relying solely on others to teach you.
