Choosing To Be Present

At Developing Workers, we often say that discipleship is not a program—it’s being present: up close, personal and over time.

That value is embodied every day by Michael, Matt and Onalee, Elijah and Kennedi, and Peter.

These faithful team members walk alongside pastors and leaders, giving their time to coach and encourage others spiritually. Whether it’s a one-on-one phone call, a text to check in, or meeting in person for intentional conversation, our team models the ministry of presence.

But presence isn’t just about showing up—it’s about walking closely through the real struggles leaders face.

All around the world, pastors are under intense pressure. Many are isolated, discouraged, and spiritually depleted. Some are stepping away from ministry. Others are falling into sin. The brokenness of sin isn’t just around them—it’s within them, just like it is in all of us.

This is why we do what we do.

Through ongoing conversations, intentional coaching, and consistent care our team stays connected to the hearts of these leaders. Our goal isn’t just leadership development; it’s soul care. We want every pastor to stay grounded in truth, rooted in grace, and surrounded by people who won’t let them drift alone.

You can partner in this ministry through prayer. Here are specific ways to pray:

🙏 Pray for pastors to stay grounded in their faith and anchored in the Word.

🙏 Pray for protection over their hearts, marriages, and families.

🙏 Pray for strength to resist temptation and persevere through spiritual battles.

🙏 Pray that they would experience deep encouragement and know they are not alone.

🙏 Pray for our coaches to have wisdom, discernment, and endurance as they walk alongside leaders in the highs and lows of ministry.

Being present with pastors takes intentionality—and the same is true in our connection with you. If your contact or giving information changes, we want to be sure nothing disrupts our ability to share updates and stories of impact with you.
